special galbitang lunch

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Dscn7380yesterday, out of sudden, the assistants from next door invited me & jason for special lunch of galbitang near the dongbu int.  we took three cars (since there were two professors who joined the party) and went there around 12 o’clock.

the galbitang indeed was special and delicious too.  and of course the price for one bowl of galbitang is 1000 won higher than the usual one we had in bomulseom restaurant, near our school..

trip to seoul character fair

P1010024
last saturday, it was another trip to seoul -actually my seventh trip- and this time was for seoul character fair 2006.  I had planned this trip quite long time ago, and asked gyu seung and jya yeong to join me.  both were agree.. even jason also said he wanted to join the party.

but when the d-day was approaching, gyu seung brought a bad news.  he couldn’t go but instead, the female assistant, son nu would go. and since jya yeong would go to his hometown in incheon on friday, then he would meet us at the coex where the fair was held.  the daejeon group would consist of me, beny, jason and son nu.  however, exactly on the d-day, jason suddenly had a meeting with his professor, beny was reluctant to go, son nu got sick, so it was only me, again to meet jya yeong at coex.

I took a express bus (another broke the cherry term, since it was my first time :P ) on 10:40 and arrived at seoul around one o’clock.  I went to coex using the subway, and took my time to explore the bendi & lundi book store at the coex underground shopping mall before meeting jya yeong.

Dscn7329the event itself was great, there were lots of people, lots of things to see and of course lots of characters, including the cosplayers to meet.  the full & ’serious’ resume  in indonesian could be read here.

after the event, we had a dinner in gangnam area -area for the rich people of seoul, said jya yeong- then I headed for the seoul bus terminal for my trip home.  but the trip home was very different than the morning trip, since it was weekend, the highway was flock with cars, and it took almost four hours from seoul to daejeon. I arrived at the daejeon express bus terminal around 10:30, just half hour before the dormitory’s door closing time.  it was a narrow escape, a really tiring yet exciting day.. :D

do as infinity: final

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Dscn7228two weeks ago, on a sunday afternoon, beny came back from his trip from downtown with a big smile.  he said that he brought a bad news for me: he saw the final concert of do as infinity dvd in a music & dvd store at downtown..

so, on the next thursday, after having a dinner with olia & beny, I rushed to the store and finally the long awaited dvd is in my hand :D (although it did cost me a LOT :p).  but it IS a good dvd, especially it had lots of memorable and touching moments (especially when ban-chan was trying hard not to cry.  she looked even cute! :D )

happy chinese valentine’s day

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Dscn6795just wanna say "happy chinese valentine’s day" -although I supposed to say it yesterday, on july 31.. :p

the day came from and old and famous story about the love story of a goddess from heaven with and ordinary cowherd from earth.  there are several versions of the love story, but the basic thing is that both of them was deeply in love that they neglect their duties.  this made the supreme god angry and punished the lovers by separating them, creating a wide river between them.

however, the love between the goddess and the mortal human was so strong that finally it touched the supreme god’s heart. then he granted them the chance to meet for one night only each year, on the sevent night of the seventh month.  during that time, a flock of magpies will form a bridge connecting the separate land, enable the two lovers to meet and spend the night together…

love is strong, and all you need is love…

info.. info.. another changes, again..

for two months in a row, another run out of posting pics in this blog..  and since I tend to tell stories with pics, that’s a quite problem for me..  so, since I somehow managed to maintain three sites (and four of the martabakomikita site is included) that need updating regurally, then I’ll put things in order, again…

so, starting this month, this blog is back to basic.  the place for my mumble-jumble mind or things I find interesting enough to share, with photos, pics and words in english -so I can keep practicing my english, since here I’ve started to speak ‘konglish’ aka korean english.. :p

meanwhile, the visual diary is moved to my multiply site (just click here to visit, then click on the photos link for going directly to the visual diary, grouped based on the posting time) since that site is decidated for the visual journal and things I do, here in korea -including my animation works, reviews, etc-.  and for  my online photo album, just visit here

sorry for the changes, again.  I just hope this latest arrangement will work and turn out fine..

thanks!
